At A-Pleasant Driving School, our mission is to equip new drivers—especially teens—with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make safe, responsible decisions behind the wheel. Founded by Sergeant Charles Pleasant, a veteran law enforcement officer with 30+ years of experience in traffic safety and accident prevention, this program goes beyond basic instruction to deliver real-world guidance rooted in awareness and safety. We are committed to fostering a new generation of alert and prepared drivers who are ready for the road.

Assessment and Orientation
We begin by evaluating the students’ current knowledge and capabilities and covering basic safety factors, rules of the road, and vehicle controls.
Suburban Roads
In this lesson, students will drive on various county roads, practice lane changing, and negotiate intersections.
Highway Driving
This lesson involves safely merging on and off highways and driving defensively with traffic while minding markings and signage.
Challenging Conditions
This lesson involves driving on winding roads, learning how to recognize and respond to various hazards and malfunctions, and practicing evasive maneuvers.
Parking
From angling into a spot to backing in to the ever-dreaded parallel parking, this lesson covers all the critical aspects of learning how to park accurately and confidently.
Test Preparation
Students will simulate a real driver’s test, going over the functions and controls of the vehicle, practicing test routes, and reviewing examiner expectations.
